Alia Bhatt pulls off a 70 kg deadlift |
Alia Bhatt is at the top of her game and there are no two ways about it. The actress is currently having one of the busiest years and for all the good reasons. After got the huge success of Gully Boy and the shoot of Brahmastra, the stunner has even wrapped up the first schedule of Mahesh Bhatt directorial's Sadak 2. Alia Bhatt will be seen with Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt and we can't wait to see them together. Like that was not enough, she has moved on to the pop diva genre and has come out with her very own music video!
But seems like there is no stopping her! Cause the actress is on her way of achieving another personal milestone and it is commendable. In fact, according to her physical trainer, Alia Bhatt has already achieved her personal best and pulled off a 70kg deadlift! He even took to Instagram to share videos of the feat and wrote, "I'm going to give this star the credit she deserves. When she started off earlier this year - she hadn't lifted weights too often in her life. It took a while to get her to start enjoying being strong - not skinny - strong! The first time she tried a deadlift, we used one single 20lb dumbbell and that wasn't even 9 months back. A few weeks back she managed to get in 5 reps at 50 kgs and she rocked it. Today was lifting day and we felt we had the energy to push that weight a little higher. After a few warm up sets she cruised through 3 reps at 60kgs which was a personal best for her anyway (I missed a count and I got the stare). Next, we decided to push it even further and do just 1 rep at 70 kgs - knowing @aliaabhatt she decided to give me 2 for good measure. Love the fact that she just NEVER backs down from what's put in front of her. New personal best done and now we're going to try and smash it again, soon. What say? Stay the same @aliaabhatt - we've got a lot of work to do."
Needless to say, even we are inspired to sweat it out! On the work front, Alia will next be seen alongside beau Ranbir Kapoor in Brahmastra. The film is being directed by Ayan Mukerji and also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Dimple Kapadia and Mouni Roy in key roles. Brahmastra is backed by Karan Johar was originally slated for Christmas release this year. Rumours were rife that the film could clash with Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha's Dabangg 3. However, the clash was averted when Ayan announced that Brahmastra is now slated for Summer 2020 release.
