Ingredients
1 cup flour
A pinch turmeric powder
1 tsp ghee
Salt as per taste
For filling
1 cup gram dal
1/2 cup powdered jaggery
1/2 tsp ghee
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
1/4 tsp fennel powder
Method
Put gram dal in a cooker and cook until it is 7 whistles and wait until the whistle opens itself. When this happens, remove it and put it aside in a bowl.
Put the flour, turmeric powder, ghee, and salt in a vessel and mix it well with the fingers. Now pour a little water in it and then dough it well. Cover it now and keep the edge for at least 30 minutes.
Add cooked lentils, jaggery and ghee in a pan and mix it first and then cook it until the jaggery completely dissolves. Now slow down the flame and wait until it thickens.
As soon as it becomes thick, add cardamom powder and fennel and mix it. Now immediately remove it from flame and leave it to cool. Now divide it between 6 to 8 equal parts.
Now make the bread or the size of your choice made of the ball by mixing flour and 1 ball of the mixture should be placed in the center of the middle and mixing it in a circular shape shaking all over. Now make it in the shape of bread or parathas by making it bale or in the shape of parathas. We will also make the rest of the remaining balls like this.
Put the tawa on the flame and put 1-1 of the Puran Poli on the pan and fry it with a little ghee and fry it until it turns into golden brown color from both sides. As soon as it comes in golden brown color, it should be used as a bowl. Make the rest of the remaining Poli, and finally put a little more ghee so that it becomes even better in taste. Take it ready is our delicious Puran Poli.
