Bread Chaat



Bread Chaat is very simple and very easy to make. This is one of those snacks that you can make with readily available ingredients.

Ingredients

for roasting the bread :

4 slices whole-wheat bread
2 tsp butter
1/2 tsp chat masala


for the chaat :

1/4 cup boiled potato chopped
1/4 cup onion finely chopped
1/4 cup tomato finely chopped
1 green chilli finely chopped
1/2 cup whisked curd
1/4 cup nylon sev
1 tbsp green chutney
1 tbsp tamarind chutney
1/4 tsp black salt
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
1/4 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp chat masala

Bread Recipe:

Collect all the necessary ingredients.
Take bread slices and cut the bread into small cubes using a pizza cutter.
Heat the butter by adding 2 tsp butter or ghee, and 1/2 tsp chaat masala in a pan.
Then add chopped bread cubes.
Fry them on low heat for 3-4 minutes or until they are light brown and crispy.
Once the bread is roasted, take the pan off the flame.

Method of making bread chaat:

Take out these toasted bread cubes in a bowl.
Now add salt, black salt, red chili powder, cumin powder, and chaat masala.
Mix it well so that the bread crumbs are coated with spices.
Then add half of the green chillies, boiled and chopped potatoes, onions and tomatoes.
Mix it well again.
Transfer it to the serving bowl.
Before serving, add some finely chopped potatoes, onion and tomato pieces on top.
Then add whipped curd, green chutney, and sweet tamarind chutney.
Now finely sprinkle over it and garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve this delicious and tangy bread chaat immediately.

Tips


Adjust the quantity of green chutney and tamarind chutney depending on the spice and sweetness.
Bread pieces should be crispy to taste the chaat.
You can adjust the spice powder and black salt according to your taste.
Do not add green chillies if you are making them for children.
You can toast the bread first and then cut it.
You can add toppings according to your taste and your taste.
You can also use ghee instead of butter to toast the bread.
I have used whole wheat bread but you can also use white bread.
You can also add boiled Kabuli chana if you want.
